Mostbet Visa & Mastercard Deposit Guide

I'll be upfront: bank card deposits on Mostbet are the least reliable option for Indian players. My success rate with my ICICI Visa debit card is around 70%. My HDFC Mastercard credit card? About 60%. The failures are almost always the bank blocking the international transaction -- not anything on Mostbet's side.

That said, cards are still the most familiar payment method for many people. If you're using a non-Indian card, or you're in a country without UPI, cards work much more reliably. This guide covers the complete process, what to expect, and -- critically -- what to do when your card gets declined.

Step-by-Step Card Deposit Process

1

Open the Deposit Page

Log in to Mostbet and click the green "Deposit" button. Navigate to the "Bank Cards" or "Visa/Mastercard" section in the cashier.

2

Enter Card Details

Card number (16 digits), expiry date, CVV/CVC (3-digit code on the back), and cardholder name. Mostbet's form is straightforward. If you've saved a card previously, select it from the dropdown.

3

Enter the Deposit Amount

Minimum 300 INR, maximum 100,000 INR. The amount shows in your account currency. If your card currency differs from your Mostbet account currency, conversion happens at Mostbet's rate.

4

Complete 3D Secure Verification

You'll be redirected to your bank's 3D Secure page for OTP verification. Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number. This is mandatory -- Mostbet does not process card deposits without 3D Secure.

5

Wait for Confirmation

After OTP verification, the transaction processes. Average time: 2.5 minutes. You'll see a success page on Mostbet and your balance updates. Check your bank app for the debit confirmation.

Why Bank Cards Get Declined on Mostbet

This is the section most people are looking for. Here are the actual reasons your card gets declined, ranked by frequency based on my experience and support chat data:

1. Bank Blocks International Gambling Transactions (Most Common)

Indian banks under RBI guidelines frequently block outgoing payments to gambling merchants. HDFC, ICICI, SBI, Axis -- they all do this to varying degrees. The transaction appears as an international payment to a Curacao-based merchant, which triggers automated fraud prevention.

Solution: Call your bank's customer service and ask them to allow the specific transaction. Some banks let you temporarily enable international transactions through their app (HDFC has this in the mobile app settings). Alternatively, switch to UPI which bypasses this issue entirely.

2. Insufficient Funds or Card Limit

Check your available balance and daily transaction limit. Some cards have online transaction limits that are lower than the card's total limit. My Axis Bank debit card has a default online transaction limit of 10,000 INR -- I had to manually increase it in the app.

3. 3D Secure Failure

If the OTP doesn't arrive, or you enter it incorrectly, or the 3D Secure page times out, the deposit fails. This is usually a carrier issue (SMS delays) rather than a bank issue. Wait 2 minutes and try again. If OTP consistently fails, check if your bank supports in-app authentication as an alternative to SMS.

4. Card Not Enabled for Online Transactions

Some debit cards are issued with e-commerce disabled by default. You need to enable "online transactions" or "e-commerce" in your bank's mobile app or internet banking. This is a one-time setup.

Which Indian Banks Work Best with Mostbet?

BankCard TypeSuccess Rate (My Testing)Notes
ICICIVisa Debit~70%Enable international transactions first
HDFCMC Credit~60%Enable via mobile app settings
KotakVisa Debit~75%Most reliable Indian bank in my tests
SBIVisa Debit~40%Frequently blocks gambling merchants
AxisMC Debit~55%Low default online limit (increase it)

These success rates are based on my personal testing with 3-5 transactions per bank. Your experience may differ based on your specific branch, card type, and account status.

International Card Fees

Since Mostbet's payment processor is based outside India, your bank treats the deposit as an international transaction. That triggers foreign transaction fees:

These fees are charged by your bank, not Mostbet. On a 10,000 INR deposit, expect 200-350 INR in bank fees. For smaller deposits, this percentage eats into your bankroll significantly. UPI has zero fees -- it's the better choice for most Indian players.

Saving Cards for Future Deposits

After your first successful card deposit, Mostbet offers to save your card for future use. If you opt in, subsequent deposits only require the CVV and 3D Secure OTP -- no need to re-enter the full card number.

Security note: Mostbet stores a tokenized version of your card, not the actual number. The token works only on Mostbet and can't be used elsewhere. I've saved my card and haven't had any security issues. That said, if you're cautious, you can always enter your details manually each time.
